Exports have become the driving force for China’s medical industry
China Pharmaceutical News: In 2010, China’ s medical equipment have altogether exported 216 countries and areas, Asia、Europe and the Americas remain the three major export markets for medical devices., the corresponding exports are 4.83 billion dollars、3.951 billion dollars and 4.257 billion dollars. The exports to Asian market have increase 13.65%, the Europe and North American markets for medical equipment exports grow by 18.43 and 24.31%. At the same time, China’s medical companies have made significant progress in the development of Africa medical markets, its sales achieve 529 million dollars, and keep an increase of 41.7%.
The report also mentions: In 2010, the China enterprises of medical equipment export have increased to 24.6 thousand, the number of export companies keeps an increase of 8.55%, China’s three largest medical equipment exports are massage equipment, vision correction supplies, cotton wool, gauze, masks and other medical aids. The export products, which have increased more than the rate of 50%, are mobile medical vehicle, medical X-ray machine, blood transfusion equipment, ECG and color ultrasound scanner and so on.
Many experts comment: After years of development, The export has become the important driving force to promote the development of china’s medical equipment industry. It has been strong growth in both of the industry production scale and international market share. Some high-technology products, such as digital radiograph systems, blood transfusion equipment, ECG and color ultrasound scanner, are also increasing rapidly, This also reflects some extent that china’s technology has improved continuously in medical areas.
